Information for employees

You may be wondering what your occupational health appointment is going to be about. This page will hopefully clarify some of the questions you may have regarding your appointment.

Management referrals

These appointments are usually booked if your health may have an impact on work, or work is thought to have an impact on your health.

The appointment will provide you with a confidential space to discuss your concerns and those brought up by your manager in the management referral. Your manager would have discussed your referral with you prior to submitting it, so that you are aware of the content of it.

The aim of the assessment is to provide advice to your manager and you regarding your medical fitness for work and what work adjustments may be helpful to facilitate your return to work or your sustained attendance at work.

You will have the option to see your report before it is sent to your manager if you wanted to.
